Today is the last day of September.  It went by pretty fast.  It feels cold outside and it smells like snow.  I wish the sun and the warmth would come back soon.  We learned about trash and where it goes once it leaves our house.  We learned that it goes to a landfill.  Landfills is where trash goes.  We did math and talked about dozens and half dozens.  In gym we finished video tapping our routines.  Look for those on Edline in the next couple of days.  At recess I played on the zip line and soccer.  I also did the skip it.  I am pretty good at it.  After recess we were using the Smartboard with Mrs. Blystone when all of a sudden the computer and the Smartboard shut off.  I wondered what happened and so did Mrs. Blystone.  It was really really weird.  Super weird what happened?  Oh well!

Have a good day everybody by Jemmia p

Today we had a fun day.  First we started the day by writing in our Journals about what we did this weekend.  I wrote that I got a new DS game called “Sweet Life of Zac and Cody”.  Mrs. Brown read us a book called The Great Turtle Drive.  She also began our new chapter book .  It sounds exciting.  It’s called Vampire’s Don’t Wear Polka Dots.  I think it will be the teacher that is the vampire.  We had a spelling pretest and words were tricky.  Words that start with kn and wr.  We read in our Trash book and looked up words in the glossary.  We learned about different types of trash trucks.  A front-end loader picks up my family’s trash.

Hello Friends,

Thank you for a super fit Friday!  It was outstanding to see all of my third graders in their athletic clothes.  Stay fit this weekend by playing some of the games at the Oktoberfest tomorrow.  Also, come eat some yummy German food.  I am sure German food is healthy!!  Thank you third graders for working hard this week.  I am very proud of all of you.  Happy birthday Andrew! Thanks for bringing in the yummy brownies.

Love from your favorite Third Grade Teacher,

Today we went to chapel and learned about Peace.  Mrs. Price gave us the chapel message.   We also finished video taping about our bridges we have been researching. And then we went to gym and played a new game.  I really liked it.  Then at the end of the day Mrs. Ganger finished our mystery book.  We really enjoyed it.  Then we began a new book about garbage.  Then Grace gave Mrs. Blystone a shoulder rub.  Mrs. Blystone REALLY liked it!

Ps.  Dear Miley and Mickey Mouse, Thanks for writing to us!!!  We loved it!

Love,

Hannah

Good Monday to Everyone.  Today we had a spelling pretest over our new words for the week.  Then we had a lot of work to do with Math. Some of us liked Math.  We learned how to divide a circle and a square into thirds. In Gym class we practiced our routines and video taped them with the music.  We can’t wait to show our parents our exercise routines.  Today at recess there was a fun soccer game.  In Religion class we learned about how God helped the people when Moses led them out of Egypt.

Have a good night.

We hope that everyone has a great and blessed weekend! See you Monday.    lukas k.

Sorry we didn’t blog yesterday because we had a busy day.  Yesterday we wrote letters to a our trucker buddy, Andy.  This morning we said memory.  We had to say 2 verses , it was easy.  Then we did spelling it was easy.  Next we read in our Social Studies books about different landforms.  Then we went to gym and worked on our workout routine that we are doing in groups.  We got to pick out the music to go along with the routine.  My group chose the  YMCA song.  It was fun!  Then we had lunch and recesses.  Then we had religion class.  We learned about Moses.  We had reading groups next.  We learned about the history of basketball and learned about the game.  We also learned about subjects and predicate.  Mrs. Ganger came in to read at the end of the day.  We started a new book. It is a mystery book.
